A typical victim of Crass Commercialism and some tragic incidents that led to its downfall, I wonder if this school even exists these days?
I had ten formative years during 2040's decade when the school was at its pinnacle that I cherish every moment.For folks outside Pokhara, you can gauge this school from the fact that it was competing with Gandaki Boarding School for the top school in Pokhara. I cannot stop making a passing reference towards its founder Mr. Bikal P Sherchan, a man with a vision and ambition and some truly fabulous teachers.

Yes, MAS exists and still one of the best school in pokhara and still better than GBS.
better than GBS ...ahm.... Think about that.. twice...better than GBS I dont think so..though i am not from GBS.. i am a from different school which has also has won the paschimanchal award besides GBS...But MAS... I DONT THINK SO.. Bikal Sherchan is a great educator though..
well i m from mount annapurna school 2054 batch and i am also from gandaki boaring school .. and i was also in juniour citizens academy which bikal sherchan headed after he left mount annapurna school ..
years back annapurna was as it apex of popularity ,what led it;s downfall i have no idea .. but the one teacher i will never forget is the perverted "Bhandari" who used to teach nepali those days .
Oh Mt Annapurna was good in earlier days but after it turned into JCA, it started to downfall. GBS was on the top, three private english schools New Model, Mt Annapurna and Bethany were on the scene. Mt Annapurna was hit among them, I guess Bethany was the last and New Model in the middle. Later Annapurna had sunil's case and started to downfall which was almost gone to worst after turning to JCA. There was a kind of 'hatdaal' too which damaged JCA. Bethany was ok , never gone up beside football later on I heard that it became trash can, collector of restricated students. New Model remained same I guess it also didnt go up. Sishu Niketan and Kumidini, new comers are ruling the town. May be other schools have joined the ruling class, I dont know at this point. I still remember those ancient days of these 3 english schools which just have big history now.
i agree with u nepalean, i tasted all three schools and basically the thing is u need to have sth, u cannot only rely upon school only i was in jca when there was second hadtal ,when shriman took over jca and to the new list global school is also one of them

bhandari sir, wow he was know as bhandari KUPARE at my time i still remember him,
i think he is still teaching nepali in MAS but he was a great guy
i still remember these teachers

english= bansi (something like that)
account= ......... he was a great guy
principal was DR nagendra shrivastav and annand shrestha
and i forget the hot ma'am that used to be accountant
didnt know it was better than GBS though..heard first time for sure...interesting...
