Okay dude, i will not suggest you to move there. I lived in Berkeley for two years. During that period i never had money.... All the money i was making was just enough for rent and food. Pay rate is very bad.. And please dont talk about job market. There are lots of punjabi and mexicon... so it is very hard to get job....I will be surprised if you find any kind of job. And it is impossible to find the job related to your field of study.. Dont be excited dude.. if you have no strong reason for moving there then please don t move there....I am speaking from my experience......

With a degree in Finance, New York would probably be a safer bet as far as getting a job is concerned.  I am sure you know that.


But if you have to move to West Coast, I assume you will have better luck finding Finance related employment in San Francisco than Berkeley.
