A team of 7 Nepali Women climbing the highest peak in each continent with a message
'Together We Reach Higher!'
In 2008 as members of First Inclusive Women Sagarmatha Expedition they created history by becoming the most successful women’s expedition on Everest, EVER! Including Everest, they have already scaled the highest peaks in Australia, Europe and Africa.
The team believes that
Education, Empowerment, and Environment are the tools to attaining greater heights.
Their goal is to compile the knowledge gained in all 7 continents into educational material, which will be distributed with students worldwide. And their dream is to wave the glorious Nepali flag across the world encouraging youth and women to go live that dream. Not only through words but real action!
They visit local schools of after each climb. They have already visited over 150 schools so far in Nepal, Australia, Russia, Tanzania and the USA. They climb with local women, learn about each other’s issues and also learn about local environmental impact.
With 4 done, they have final three to go -
Mt Vinson Massif in Antarctica, Mt Aconcagua in Argentina, South America and Mt Denali/McKinley in USA, North America. The target is to climb these mountains by 2014. With proven success, skill, commitment, national honors and great international media coverage the team is on its way to become one of the biggest international faces of Nepal.
Rocky Mountain Friends of Nepal has joined hands with
Seven Summits Women Team to spread the common message of
Education, Empowerment, and Environment. We are running a fund raise campaign with a target of collecting USD 1,000,000.00. Major portion of this fund will be used to cover the expenses of climbing. However, a portion will go to support the projects on
Education, Empowerment, and Environment in Nepal through
RMFN.
Please support us by making a donation and spreading this message via various social networks. After all, Together We Reach Higher, indeed!
