Hello Sajha readers,
I wasn't sure if I needed a Shram Swikriti as I heard various experience from people who traveled. Some of the experiences were:
1. Get one. It is easy. Pay some money and would be good.
2. I didn't get one. The immigration officer told me to get to the regular line even if I went to the section that indicates people travelling under working visa.
3. Some had terrible experience with the immigration officer not having one and recommended to get one.

I live in Ward no 13 where shram swikriti office is located. Me and my dad went to meet the officers to know if H1B actually needs one. It seems like they were not clear. They told us there have been cases where H1B had obtained one. They asked us to verify through department of immigration at Kalikasthan.

We went to that deprament and met the Director General Eshor Raj Poudel and he told us that H1B visa holder from US are not required to obtain one as there is no Shram Samjhauta between the two governments.

While getting the boarding pass the lady reminded me of this and I clearly told her I don't need one and I spoke to the department of immigration.
While sitting on the line where people travel for work the lady also asked me to go to the regular line and there they didn't ask me anything.

I hope this is helpful.
