This lady surprises me with her buffoonery despite a scant understanding of the issue.

>>Even big powers and the UN has supported the military dictators in Pakistan, Syria, Iran, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, >>Mozambique, and many other members States.

You smiled with the whore next door, You have to smile with me too. What a logic!!! It is up to them how much heat they are on, Here, they are turned off by the face of the whore. OK, got it? That simple:)

She indeed wrote a good article... don't try to distort it by putting words liek "whores". Double standard is double standard... HOw can you deny.

Main point she wrote is :

In the U.S. in the 19th century, democracy worked to the excessive advantage of a privileged group too, but gradually it was reformed so that the people at the bottom gained some share in wealth too. I think the key to the reform of democracy (meaning that the general population has control of the legislators) is (1) the education of the masses and (2) a free press. If the press is allowed to print its investigative reports and those of its academics to show what is actually happening in the government and if the population is literate enough to read its publications, then corrupt legislators will be found out and removed in the following elections.

It appears that in Nepal neither of these conditions has been fulfilled. On the other hand, autocracies have usually catered to a select group to the disadvantage of the general population and that is why they were mostly replaced by democracies. We shall see whether king is able to prevent this tendency in Nepal.

Houston, thanks for linking the article. It goes to show that any tom, dick or kamala can write whatever the heck they want. However inept, somewhere it gets published. It is like anything people rattle on in sajha being published.

and prem dai her analogy of american democracy in 19th century to Nepal's current upheaval is so misplaced and not even correct or verifiable that it makes no sense at all. Her article is an study in ineptitude- of judgment, usage and conclusion. What does she conclude anyway? Nada.

Democracy needs peace so lets do away with democracy for faux-peace. Oh how convinient!

mG.
