It is not hard if your dad was born in Nepal.you just have to show his citizenship now i think your mothercitizenship works too.
It is hard for a reason and it should be hard!

If you Dad, Mom or Uncles work for Nepali government office, It is not hard to get Nepali citizenship. Just phone call away.

If you have Rs 6,000 upto 15,000, You will get Nepali Citizenship in any condition. No matter what? They do not care.

If your parents and relative do not wok in Nepali government offices and If you do not have Cash to bribe..... It might be impossible to get Nepali Citizenship in some cases, even you born in Nepal.

Forget.... You have to have some kind of power source or money.

i agreed with Nitu. either you need to have a power or know somebody in Government office of high ranking or $$$$$$$$$$$$..............

with either of these............you can do anything/buy anything in nepal.

its a fact. i experienced all these while in nepal. sad to say these but its true.

Nepali Citizenship.......

Nepali Citizenship is not for true Nepalese who born in Nepal or their ancester born in Nepal.

Nepali citizenship is for only people who work in Nepali Government offices and Indian dothi and Business people who can bribe for citizenship.

Ordinary and true Nepalese People have to dream on for Nepali citizenship. More than Half of the ordinary Nepalese population do not have NEPALI CITIZENSHIP.

but more than 80,000 Indian dothis are holding authentic Nepali Citizenship.

Nationalist5,
what the hell are u talking??if one is born in nepal and their anchestors are nepalese ..why would there have been problem getting one???
where is the problem?
most of the problem appears to be in close to border areas..now it is very hard to tell whether they are nepalese or not..i have personally seen so many muslims coming from india and settled in nepal working as tailors..so tell me now its been two three generations of these muslims in nepal and mind you ..there were only few in the begining in couple years thier family came in and they produced dozens kids...i am not kiddin ..from one couple ..they freaking made damn 100 member family.!!!!!!!!tell me so nepal should give citizenship to all these people???????????????????????????????????????????????

IMI stop your crap.. Really sajha should ban all the racist threads . Why are you spreading malice to the people. and IMI its people like you because of whom there is racist violence and so called JIHAD.
Rather than spreading grudge and anger among people rather tell nepali govenment to make more stricter immigration rule.

And if you want to spread malice against the muslim (of course from your post it seems like you are a racist ba****d) then you must also want all the nepalese who work illegally in USA to be thrown out. Most of them work hard in order to support their family back home. When the world is trying to drive the evil like racism out its so sad that some educated people hold that view.

and if you dont see difficulty in citizenship then i would say it is purely because of your lack of knowledge. Many people come from village and have to go back disappointed for some minor problem. We have been seeing this for a long time and it is a big issue. and even nationalist dont say dhoti has got nepali citizenship because once they get citizenship they are nepalese and we should respect them as our own coutnrymen and in any case these indian businessman with large amount of investment are great source of income and employment for nepal.

It is not hard at all if your father was born in Nepal and holds a Nepali citizenship. You just need to show his citizenship. and getting citizenship if you have relatives in government offices or by paying money is not true at all. it may have happened in some cases in some Terai districts bordering india, but one or two such cases don't represent the true picture. If one takes such an example from news reports and believes it to be the method of getting citizenship in Nepal, then may god help him.
