Hi,
I am planning to move to Washington DC area. My work place is at Chevy Chase, MD. And I am looking for good afforadable apartment in good neighborhood. Could anyone please suggest any good apartment to live in Washington DC (commutable to Chevy Chase area)?

Yes, Bethesda is much closer to Chevy Chase but a bit expensive. You could live in Rockville which is cheaper and accessible by metro.

Actually, I wasn't sure which area to move. I am not familiar with DC area. Bethesda and Rockville sounds good. Can you please suggest any good affordable apartments around these areas. I am okey with around 30 mins commute time.
And one more thing, is it advisable to using car or Metro for commuting to Chevy Chase / DC area?

Well, it depends where in Chevy Chase. If it's near Friendship Heights metro, then definitely commute by metro, if not, use car.

Hi Sambaj and the gang,
I moved to Rockville because of work. Have looked at few places- its expensive to rent by myself! I opted for sharing option and may sign the lease tomorrow.
Sambaj, if you think we can rent an apartment and share the cost, please let me know ASAP. It would be great if I can find a Nepali roommate.
I agree with others about Bethesda and Rockville- would be great.
