When we were kids......I bet that it was time almost all kids felt rich and festive during Dashain.....because of Dakshina, good food and New clothes(of course no school)..................I still cherish how I felt those days and feel sad how I have totally lost the feeling of the festivness of Dashain and Tihar as an adult living Abroad for more than 12 yrs now. I want my kids ( when I have them )to feel the same way I felt when it was time for Dashain RICH, HAPPY AND FESTIVE as I was growing up in Nepal. Gorkhali bro I feel strongly for your question as an adult........BUW I answer you as a child.....YES DAKSHINA IS VERY IMPORTANT.
