hello everyone,

i thought one can stay for 5 months in USA if s/he has valid I 20 from another school after s/he completes studies at one school.  suppose, someone graduated in june 15.  the person will have 60 days grace period so, it will take him to august 15.  my understanding is if the person can get I 20 for next january, which is less than 5 months away, the person will be maintaining status.

however, one of my friend's international student service is not convinced.  does anybody have information about this?  links from valid source would be great help.  thanks.
