hi to all,
I am filing H1 this april thru desi consultancy. I m in OPT now. If i get the H1 approved and dont get the job till august, i m planning to transfer to F1 from august. Is it possible since the working on H1 begins from Oct only. Is there there any hassle in transfering to F1 in that situation.
Suggestions appreciated.

You will be in the same status F1 until Oct 1, then your status will be changed if you get approved H1B. Your employeer can cancel your H1B approved any time until Sept 30. ( but You can't cancel yourself, your company should sent the cencellation letter to USCIS)
