Dear Sajha friends,

My parents are applying for US visa together to visit me here. I would be thankful if you could respond my some questions.

Do they have to take interview together or separately? Do they have to show individual file or  they can show common file (documents) at interview time? My parents don't speak english so, will it be a problem for interview?

I am waiting for your kind respond please....

I know for the fact that the interviewer speaks much better nepali than some of the nepalese. They even greet them well in nepali and have seen some people giving interview together. No need to worry about language problem.

Just a few most occuring ones.  They could ask anything....

why are u going?
who do u have in US ?
when are u coming back ?
DO u have any intention on living, working, or studying in US ?

Who is going to be responsible for the cost of travelling and living while in US ?

When are u coming back ?
Who/what  do u have in Nepal and ties you to the country ?

what is ur son/daughther doing in US ? how long has s/he been there ?
what is ur earning here in Nepal ?
any other countries visited besides India ?

How can the US government be sure that u will leave US once the said trip is completed ?
