As much my understanding U can apply Asylum with in one year of US entry I hear some of F1 apply for it better talk with Immigrant Lawyer..

Definately. Last entry to the United States should be less than a year for favorable consideraion and you case should be genuine not the fake or false representation.

Assylum Visa exist because there is a reason behind it. Please do not abuse it. I really hope you have genuine case or else some tailored moaist abuse story can go down the drain. Good Luck.
