Hello! I am Graduating in this May and I'm planning to call my parents. Is it possible to apply visa for a graduation ceremony but arrive here in USA after 4/5 months after graduation, if they are given visa for 5 yrs? Does the visa gets expired , if not traveled within certain time? The thing is that, I want to celebrate Dashain with my parents this year. And it would be easy for my parents as well to travel during Dashain. And could anyone give me an official web site where I can find such information?

Has any one done this before or know any one who have done this before? I really need some helpful informations regarding this. Thanks

Yes you can have your parents apply for visa for your graduation and
once they get it, they do not have to travel right away. They can
choose to travel at a later date, months or years later as long as the
visa does not expire. There is nothing on the visa that sets a timeline
for travel. All that the visa has is its validity date and number of
entry you are allowed. So no worries.
