The countdown to the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany is under way and each of the 32 competing countries has a specific guide looking ahead to the tournament, there are several stars to watch. Teams some of them are unpredictable and some really new ones. Who do u think is gonna win the world cup this time. For me hope its not Brazil because i hate to see one team everytime winning the cup.Makes the sport monotonos. My choice of a team this time would certainly be Holland. What about YOU GUYS & GALS

I am in supprot of England. It's gonna be Sven goran Ericsson's last tournament for England and I know he is gonna show his best. He will take some vital steps which might include unclusion of young playuers. But it is tough to play anginst Germany in Germany. We all saw how Werder Bermen defeted Jusventus in their home ground. No team has got a victory against Byaren Munich in Germany which contains most German Players. BUt GO WAYNE

Even though, Brazil has a good team as usual I feel it gets boring to see them win all the time. Monopoly ain't good for anything. But, what this time its gonna be a tough competition for Brazil. I think, the Cup will end up being in Europe....may be England, Germany...or Italy but will be at Europe....

Watching Football World Cup in US is not the same as watching it elsewhere. There just isn't the excitement, atmosphere to fully enjoy what the most popular sports in the world has to offer. No one talks about it the next day, no one is eager about it the day before, no one to share the joy of win or the grief of loss with . It just feels like World Cup did not really happen. For the same reasons, last world cup was just so lame. Anyway, I just wish US does not even qualify for the last 16. It is not their sports and we've had enough of "we are the best in the world" attitude of them. They need to change what they call it and accept its real name to even show some respect to the sport.

Being probably one of the best fans of football in the whole world I am so excited and just marking those days off my clender that seperate me from the greatest experience. I respect everyones thought but one must keep in mind the history of world cup football. If the world cup takes place in the European country then the winner has always been a European nation and if the in American continent then the Eueopean have never won it there. The only game that ever took place in Asia was snatched by mighty Brazilians, which can be taken as an exception. So you can put your bet on a strong european contender. On the other hand USA might be a strong side but I think some other underdogs will be in the spot light in this tournament. You probably wanna watch out for Africans. They might pull some major upsets. With probably the strongest defense of the tournament Italy are ofcourse the big dog hungry for antoher cup. Brazil on the other hand simply have no competitors in any department. I doubt if Holland and England can come up with anything for they definitely lack sharp players that have the aility to take it all the way to the final. France and Protugal have been undermined here. They have that potential and are major threat to any team. I am looking forward to watch some competitive games from our asian representative too. however, I doubt if Australians will have any impact in in tournament.

How about defending Olympic champion Argentina? If they don't have to suffer from any bad luck again, they will show something to the World.

This kid even knows drama. Man, Morinho went mad wednesday night. Argentina has the best squad in the decade. USA would be a good team to watch if they could clone Reayna, Donovan and Mcbride. Can't help wishing good luck to Italy, nomatter how frustrating it is to watch them play.
