okay, since we already have separate threads for foreign songs from different genres and generations, i thought, it might be a good idea, to have a dedicated thread, where we can listen to our very own nepali songs!!!...*applause* ...thank you, thank you!!! :P.
i am not sure if youtube or few other song sites that we know of, are rich enough for nepali songs to keep this thread going on, however, let's give it a shot, hoina? as they say, don't ever say 'NO' to good things in life!...:P....:-)
pop, modern, folk, classical, ghazals rap, hip/hop, R&B....anything is accepted as long as it is NEPALI !!!
let me do the first honor. ...hmmm...i quite like ramkrishna dhakal... and these two songs of him are in my "favorite nepali songs" list :-)..
1) a very refreshing song, innit?
2) awesome lyrics...if you have listened to it already, you have it in your favorite list and if you haven't, you will love it...TRUST ME!!! :P
What a crappy thread? Same damn Ghishapita concept.:D
Anyways, lovely picks out there. :P
Here is the song which my mamma loves to sing...specially the last two words...Syanu Ma. It was kind of my song for her. She used to tease me with this song. Miss you mama, see you very soon!
Yes freak, Sajha FM plays audio only but this one is audio/video player :P.....the idea is to collect nepali music videos available in the net and put them in a single thread. i don't know of any other sites other than youtube though. if anyone of you is aware of, please share...
TM, couldn't agree with you more...i feel like dancing every time i listen to resham :P...i guess, 'nepathya' is one of the few bands that have managed to come up with original folk flavor in most of the songs they have produced.
i could not find my fav. nos. from 1974 AD :-(. got hold of this one, which i listened to for the first time. apparently, they have copied the beats from 'maria maria' by carlos santana---not a bad nepali verion though :D
