i have faced the same problem too. sabai dv holder ta vandina but their are some people who act smart just because they have a green card. It's a win win situation for all. even doctors and dentists have to do manual labor till they give necessary exams. but after that they become all set. payek parne bhanera ta sabai Auchan ni.

You guys are making a blunder by comparing students with DV holders. Like someone earlier said, they are just Daiva Varosa. You guys work hard and your future is better than those DV holders for sure. IF you work hard, you can earn ten times better than these DV holders but if they (DV holders) work harder, they might earn $100 more. There you can see the difference. Keep working hard on ur studies.

Lets not speak bad of anyone. I belive most of Sajha Users here  fill DV forms each year even if they are in US. This shows why Nepalese wants to settle in US. There can few people among the mass, who feel they have what others don't. But we can't blame the whole group. This thought  have evolved, may be because we are jealous of them, we don't have GC, they have.

Mero English DV holders ko jasto hola..but trust me I am not.

We keep on studying get our bachelor and master degree from reputed american university and in future either we will be workin in big company in USA or reputed organization in Nepal but dv holders will be in same place workin as a cheap labor probably lickin dhoti ass.

By the way, I am well aware about the types of jobs DV communities do. Whatever they do, they do for their living, for their families. I know some of families who commenced their career with store job (typically a blue collar job), working hard days' night and later in 2-3 years purchased store.

I am a grad student in a reputed US university in technological background. Came to US as a permanent resident. I have served for the poor of the poorest part of my country for 4 years and have enough experiences on what you guys say hard work (dukha ). If u really can, go back and serve for your community. I guess you wont. I am proud to inform that I am still working for my country whatever ways I can.

If you look at the other side, DV winners can ask the same question to those in F1/H1 status holders in USA as they act smarter and think that all lottery winners are dumb. So, my request to those who think DV is for dumber, please do not make such non-sense comments on the basis of your personal matter with  few people you know. Thnk more before you generalize and post in a social forum like sajha.

I agree with smart grid as I am on the same boat. I am about to graduate from a reputed University with a doctorate degree and always proud to be a Nepali but not a DV- winner. So fellows don't forget you are Nepali first. However, even you hold  F1/ H1or whatever status your ultimate goal is to stay here in USA with a green card. Having a college or University degree from USA does not necessarily meant to point fingers on others.
