To,
H. M. 5. King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev,
Narayanhiti Royal Palace,
Kathmandu, Nepal.

Subject: Cautiously welcome your move to shake Nepali politics

Dear King,

Right now entire world is focused toward the political development in Nepal. In a way we should be thankful of you for making Nepal so popular. Nepal has been in headline news in all most all major newspapers throughout the world for one whole week. Every individual have their own view regarding your move, most of the democratic governments have criticized your move, but they do not have first hand experience of corrupt government sucking our blood and selling our motherland in pieces.

But as a Nepali who has continuously suffered for 14 years with corruption and civil-war, I am very excited about your move. I think this move will in future give Nepalese with end of one dictatorship. But whether it is going to be end for Leftist Dictators (Maoist) or Rightist Dictator (Monarchy) is in your hand and your handling of political crisis in Nepal in coming days.

After hearing 21 point agenda released by your cabinet yesterday, I am hopeful that finally Nepal will move towards positive direction. But, once again you need to make sure that your cabinet will implement it and you are not using it just to get popular support like those corrupt leaders deed.

About, tougher stand taken by your government against Maoist, I appreciate this move. But once again Security force should be directed not to misuse their power and torture innocent people, if they do so your move may backfire and bring end to Monarchy and may be Nepal itself. We still remember how KiloSera 2 operation of Nepalese police backfired and made Maoist stronger.

Here are few points I think you should keep in mind, if you really want to help us and you want Monarchy to stay in Nepal and Nepalese to give love and respect to Monarchy.

1) Utmost requirement, please do try to implement your 21 point agenda and do not let it be just like a mere weapon to win popularity support. It will make you more unpopular if you don?t implement it, raising a question mark on existence of Monarchy itself.

2) To show your commitment towards multi-party democracy, do release the leaders that are not corrupt (I know it is hard to find this type of leaders), but before releasing them do take in writing that they will assist you in achieving your 21 point goal in 3 years and will in no way become disturbance to this government.

3) Do punish all those corrupt leaders and beurocrats and government employees. Please take their wealth ASAP before they shift it outside Nepal. Also do try to get support from foreign governments to get back the wealth those corrupt individuals have sent to US, India, Europe and so on. We all here outside Nepal know that here are so many family members of corrupt leaders who are sitting on the wealth of Nepal earned from corruption. Do not wait for court to punish them first catch them, put them in jail and their wealth in hold of government, then start court case. It really hurts when I see people walking around freely even though they are convicted for corruption. A normal individual will die of shame, but these are devils who live and eat on the money they earned from selling their own mothers flesh, so they have no shame.

4) Please release all the journalists and human right activist. But do warn them to do their job in unbiased sincerity towards country rather than for benifit towards a group of politicians. I welcome your move to censor nepalese media because it was media that was giving more hype to maoist and making them strong. Journalist should not forget than they have ethical responsibiility to work for the benefit of country and community they represent. It is a proffession where ethics come first than money.

5)To prove that royal palace is not corrupt, please make the account of royal earnings transparent. Please let us know why you increased royal budget from 60 millions to 600 millions as soon as you came in power.

6) Do check corruption in Army too, they are also one of the corrupt organization and now 70% of country?s budget is going on army?s hand. Do not let them misuse it.

7) Lastly, but not least. Do control your son Crown Prince. He is already 30 years old he should focus on improving his image and helping you to run country. He is not a teenager to drink and smoke then create trouble around the country. This will be injurious to monarchy and to Nepal too. He should be taught that people who gave power to his hand can snatch it back if he misuses that. Want to see example, just look around people gave power to politician by sacrificing their life 14 years back now we are backing king and taking the power back from politician because they misused it. He has to be model crown prince not the replica of Uday Hussainy or Qusay Hussain.

If you could direct this country towards positive direction, then we will help you and support you in every move. But if it goes other way round and you start misusing the power then there will not be Kingdom of Nepal in worlds map. There will either be a state of India called as Nepal or will be a ruthless communist republic of Nepal. You are our last hope, do not let us down.

Sincerely,
Nepal Ama Ko Chora

To those ppl complaining about phone/internet interruption:

Would you like to see Kathmandu BURNING instead?

Tough choice hmmm, I prefer not to use phone/internet for few days instead of seeing Kathmandu burn.

Hi guys, you are putting your ideas from developed and so called "democratic" countries. Have you ever been to western part of Nepal where Maoists have set their 'Capital' of new Nepal. Situation was the same before royal take over and is the same after that. Do you think we have basic rights under their rule? You can not speak truth against them otherwise yo will be gone forever. We have to pay them for nothing, we have to feed them. King's move will do nothing for us. Army had power in the past also and did nothing and it will do nothing now as well. Nepal is already divided, gyanendra will rule Kathmandu and district head quarters and Maoists will rule the rest. It is unchanging reality, at least for some time. I am not optimistic about king's move though it seems quite promising at the bigining.

We all here shouting against leaders and supporting king are poor peasants who came to this country to get educated and live upto the dreams of our parents..... because leader back home infested every offices every education institutes .....

our parents had to send us here with their heart filled with tears, I still remember my father saying me out of frustration " this country has no hope... we do not know when it will be another cambodia or afghanistan... we are already old not much left to achive in life but you have whole life left behind you need to go abroad and study then come back and serve your country when right time comes".......

this is our last hope and if king is sincere he will take nepal to +ve direction and will save it from bramha loot of leaders.....

I agree in 21st century we can not think about autocratic rule... but if the autocratic rule gives peace and corruption free nepal where every one can compete equally and live happily with their family and in their own home then I am ready to support the move....

right now in nepal all young generation are leaving country and going to india, arab, europe, america because every one is frustrated of unemployment and corruption in country... democracy showed us dream 14 years ago but gave nothing in 14 years.....
they just filled their bags and made their childrens future bright......

so many poor brothers and sister come to ktm from village to study but they get misguided and get into dirty politics... politics in campus should be totally banned , students should be allowed to study...

Lastly, I am amazed to see newuser claim that people cannot be misguided, i guess you are either trying to turn away from truth or you have not seen true colors of democracy in nepal....

at every corner of street and every village you will find how badly leaders have misguided illetrate poor farmers in name of democracy and how badly they have infested inside campus playing with career of thousands of nepalese future.....

I will rather live in autocratic rule that gives me and my country bright future than in democratic rule that take my country to dark...........

I hope the king's move brings some stability and peace to the nation.Hope, I will be able to go home without a fear of being killed when I go back to Nepal next time. Hope I won't have to stay awake whole night in my own home due to the fear of unknown.Hope people can sleep with their doors unlocked again.

DeepBlue,
you just reminded me of those times when we used to leave our doors open with all lights on during Laxmi Puja. Sad but true - no more "bhailini aaeen angana". We even had to sacrifice our culture in the name of democracy.

What is stability? not being able to express yourself? not being able to communicate? or take a nation in standstill. The stability is only for King, the sufferers were the people prior to Democracy, during democracy and even under KING RULE. If nepal would be stable and developed under King rule, it would have been so hundred years ago. I don't support King's move. But because he is the only powerful person in Nepal right now, I request him to open communication link. King! you have your family with you, and don't need to talk with your brothers and their family. But we have family back in Npeal. I want resumption of communication link. May Pasupatinath give a good advice!!

How come madav nepal is able to use internet?

stop preaching us about democracy... and how much freee we are in expressing ourselves in democracy..... we have already experienced that freedom was just for political leader....

so sansad going in xzone and night and firring... khume during election firing at those who oppose him... netas taking gundas from ktm to win election by fear... booth capture and so many bullshit....

normal public had no freedom.....

we are happy with stable nepal with less freedom than unsafe and unstable war raven country with no freedom..

Save Nepal,

Your pathetic pathos well taken.

Lets talk about the country before the installment of democracy. Did your despots gave us a bright future? What did they do for the country? Engaged themself in family feud and fights?

First of all I am not saying panchayat was good ..... my point is seeign 14 devastating years of democracy right the kings takeover is only the good and viable solution for better nepal..

politicians have already shown they donot care and tehy do not have balls to solve moist problem and take country to bright side.....

but again if i have to compare 14 years of democracy and panchyat... it is sad but true that country was prospering better during panchyat... even though we had limited rights we were able to leave safe and happy life... students were able to study without disturbance from politics..... farmers in villages were happily leaving safe life.....

you may argue were being exploited by panches and panches chamchas but whats the difference even in last 14 years we were continuously exploited by democracy leaders and their chamchas..... natabad kripabad reached to heights... corruption and smuggling reached to peak... and even due to exploitation gave birth to civil war in peaceful land of nepal.......

they better saved soveginity of nation than democratic leaders... one example....

Marichman ran the country by supplying kerosene transporting through planes...when india imposed sanction on us....

Krishna prasad bhattrai went and licked indian pms foot very next hour Indian airlines was hijakked saying " it was nepals mistake ,we have poor security and hijacker smuggled guns through nepalese custom"

while the truth was plane was hijacked using knife and hijakkers got guns when they reached kabul......

you might not have felt the shame .... but i was in India studying at that time and had to survive the shame....

this is really a confusing state, but Save Earth, can we only at the history of 14 yrs of democracy and justify democracy?? it is very hard, to say whats right and wrong, right now, but what gyanendra did is justificable for a period of 1 week (censorships and communications) , but if it exceeds more than that, then there is doubt. and as the famous quote goes, "WHEN IN DOUT, DO QUESTION AND SHOUT!!"

well, seeing gyane and his deeds in past, form MURTI KANDA KO PALACE MASSACRE, it forces me to think, that guyane is a man who is morally and politically guilty, and how can i trust my future on the hand of this guilty man?

, not all the netas are corrupted, not all the supreme justices are corrupted, not all the police officers are corrupted, but the only thing is, in nepal it is hard to survive without corruption. But what do you expect, corruption to be less after panchayat kal, yes it will be, but ppl with source and force with Panche's will leave ppl like Ram and Hari, behind and they will also make sure they remain the same poor Ram and Hari for rest of thier life. So, yes Republic system with checks and balances in only hope for nepal, everything else will be a faliure.

Those who think prajatantra was good and leaders were good...

Please look "Salik" comedy show by Maha Sanchar... theme is how democracy is worst than Rana Sasan.... so forget about comparing with panchayat... this show shows 14 years democracy was more worst than 104 years Rana Sasan
