you guys need to calm down and not call USCIS and let them do their job. There is not point on calling them every day on the status..It takes time to update it online.

@fdpower This was the first time a receipt number was not recognized by uscis case status portal for me atleast. So calling uscis to clarify was pretty obvious thing to. Them clarifying this situation to me is a part of their job too. So I think you need to calm down before making ignorant comment.

The receipt number was generated yesterday ...mine was not updated either or anyone elses for that matter. They probably hate getting calls from people like you who feel entitled and not give any amount of consideration to what they do...

@fdpower Not sure if you don't get my point or are too stupid to get it. Every other time I got any receipt number from USCIS I was able to check the case status immediately. This time it did not recognize my case number. I did not have your number or I would have called you since you seem to know it all. So what is the obvious thing to do? Call them and clarify.
And as a matter of fact, person on the other end was totally fine clarifying it to me that their system is slow and I should be able to track it after some days. You are the one that is butt hurt for no reason.

@iamunknown I did not receive email or text notification from USCIS. Receipt numbers came in the mail (I-797 form).

@k_ho_k_life All good brother. Calling USCIS is not a big deal when you want few things clarified. Not everyone knows everything. Like I said, this was the first time I wasn't able to check my case status after getting receipt number. So I now know why.

why we not getting receipt for i821 ? they only sending 2 receipt number of I-797

The I-797 is a notification form that is used by the USCIS to update applicants on the status of various forms they have submitted, like I-821 and I-765.

Sent application by fedex. Fedex tried to deliver it today but it says business not open or customer no available. Did anybody get this as well? It is because of veterans day?
