After recent loss of Amrish Puri, Bollywood yet loses another great actress, Parveen Babi. I don't know how many here care about her. I have seen a few movies of her some 15-16 years back, but I do remember her. She was so different from other Bollywood actress of her time and definitely very sexy and an awesome actress.

She was indeed one of the most glamorous, beautiful and attractive actress in the world of hindi cinema. It is sad to read that her life was not as beautiful as she herself was. And neither was it half as beautiful as her movies.

I happened to read an article published in times of india, comparing praveen bobi with marlyn monroe, i could help but find her more attractive that the later. In those pics, she looked far more beautiful, a greek goddess if I may.

"Arth", the critically acclaimed movie, was based on HER, Mahesh bhatt and his wife's triangle love story, with praveen's character being played by then class actress Amita patel. The movie, though a jewel in hindi cinema and widely regarded as a very impressive movie, said to have haunted Praveen Babi, personally and mentally. If more ways than other, she was affected by the movie. Later she also suffered from Schizophrenia. she has been unlucky in love and it is believed that her raltionship with other actors, film personalities have been destructive for her mental and physical well being.

If not for anything, I for one would like to express my heartfelt condolence to HERSELF ( she did not have any loved one, so to speak) with her. May ur soul find peace, joy and most of all LOVE in the different world.

When i was a little gal i could never distinguish between zeenat aman and praveen babi... they used to look identical to me.. And so was smita patel and dipti nawal.. I think something wrong with my eyes.

Nope nothing... i had a same problem with Zeenat Aman and Parveen bobi... both equally beauitful ( but Zeenat Aman used to be more appealing for me) But Parveen has a feature that if u look at her more carefully, she appears more beautiful as the minutes goes by.

Smita patel and shaba Azmi.. this two names kinda ryhmes for me.. even though they both look totally diff.

But my favorite actor should be beloved Mithun Da:) aka chakravorty. Sunny deol in Betaab ( ofcourse withthat horse, a dog, a house in the open near river) was my fav. too. Ghoda, kukur and fight.. and more fight and more fight.. my fav. movie and hero. but mithunnnnnnnnn wahhhhhhhhhhhhh " kasammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm paidaaa karneeeee waleeeeeeeeeeeee ki"......... :)
