I have seen lot of discussions regarding F1, H1B and green card in Sajha. Visitor (B2) visa is seldom discussed, partly because lot of us using the forum are either student trying to get into US, or working in US after finishing our studies.
If you run into this page, can you please spare a moment to write about the Visa interview experience of you, or your family/friend. There is somebody out there that can get a visa just from your shared experience.
Please try to mention following things.
- What was the conversation in the interview?
- Who was sponsoring?
- Profile of the counselor? (I have been told that the result of the interview greatly varies depending upon the person sitting on the other side of the window. If we can narrow down the counselor who rarely approves the Visa, people will be encourage to apply again if they were interview by that counselor.)
- How many attempts it took to get the VISA?
- How many people in family? How many is US?
