Hi Sajha Frens, My greencard is being processed and hoping to get EAD in December. I am in TPS currently and working with TPS EAD. So, if my EAD through GC gets approved in december , Will i be on Status from december till i485 approval date (I-485 gets approved later in next year)or do i have to apply for TPS extension? Thanks frens in advance.

You will be on status until decision is made on your I-485 but i would suggest you to file for TPS extension as a backup. TPS will keep you on status even if your 485 is denied and won't have to leave the country.

I am in similar situation and like sakumaku said, I applied for TPS extension (with EAD too) just to be safe.

@yeostudent, My lawyer wrote TPS for the Visa status. I dont remember much, bc my lawyer filled up all the papers for me. Right now, i have ead from GC and working with that. I am still waiting for my I485 to be approved.
