Hi, If anyone has got his/her GC through the EB2/PERM process lately or are in the process of doing so, can you share your experience, specially the time frame and the probabbility that one would get GC within a year if one starts the process now. Murthy.com site and other immigration sites shows that there is no waiting for AOS (Adjustment of Status), the last stage (I-485) since there is enough quota for this process for Nepal at present. However, the situation might be different few months down the lane. If your employer proposes you to get the GC through his company saying that there is high probability that you would get the GC within a year, do you think it is a good proposal to accept at this time. Any thoughts/ comments and expert opinion/advice will be highly appreciated.

if you are filing through eb2 category, yes, the priority date is current so there is chance but before filing i 485 you have to file for labor cert which will take 45 days to 180 days and then comes I 140 which is another three to four months and at that time if still the priority date is current then you can file the last stage of gc process which is I 485 and which takes six to nine months . But if you are filing through eb3 category the priority date right now is june 2005 which might take another two three years. But never know about US law, what will happen in two days. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
