There are two entities that have gained something from the global warming topic, the Carbon reduction industry and Al Gore.

I will not be commenting on the global warming topic itself, but I am actually fascinated by the rise of the ex-Vice President of USA, Mr. Albert Arnold "Al" Gore.

The clever remarks he made during his presentation in "An inconvenient Truth" earned him the sympathy he so desperately needed. Whether America bought his claims or not, he did came out as an "intelligent" individual who lost against a no-brain competition.

Now, he is slated to win a Nobel peace prize for his effots to bring attention to the dangers of global warming. Whether he wins or not, we will find it out this friday, he has made his presence felt with a topic that touches not just America but all over the world.

Today's NY Time ran an ad pleading Al Gore to consider running for the office. He might have lost the love for politics, the ad claims, but he certainly hasn't lost the love for his country.

I am not a historian but who else would get such a good fan fare? that too with about 150K signed petitioners.

No matter how you dice it, he is a politician after all. In an election you are not picking up the most qualified person, but selecting the least un-suitable candidate. Al Gore, if he starts his caucus bid now, should spring right ahead of Obama (including in Iowa) if he choses to run.

What a difference one small movie makes in USA.
