काठमाण्डौ, असोज ३०,अक्टोवर १६/नेपाल सरकारले शरणार्थीको मान्यता दिएर पेशा व्यवसाय गर्ने, अध्ययन गर्ने छुट दिनुपर्ने माग राख्दै सोमालियका शरणार्थीहरुले आज सिंहदरबार दक्षिण गेटमा धर्ना दिएका छन् ।
संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघीय शरणार्थी उच्चायुक्तको कार्यालयले शरणार्थीको मान्यता दिएपनि नेपाल सरकारले भने शरणार्थीको मान्यता दिएको छैन । करिब एकसयको हाराहारीमा रहेका सोमालियाका शरणार्थीहरु तीनबर्षदेखि नेपालमा बस्दै आएका छन् ।
नेपालमा अहिले सिमालियाका ३२ जना महिला, २७ जना बालबालिका रहेका छन् भने अन्य पुरुषहरु रहेका छन् । उनीहरु राष्ट्रसंघले शरणार्थीलाई दिने गरेको मासिक भत्ताले जीविको पार्जन गरिरहेका छन् । शुरुमा उनीहरु पर्यटक भिषामा नेपाल भित्रिएका थिए । |

I feel proud that Nepal, despite its difficulties, is offering refuge to those who are in worse condition. World is becoming more and more horizontal. I, for one, welcome it.
