 chosing the right Major !!

I'm a newly joint colleger, infact my 1st Semester. And  i'm not sure about my Major. Does anyone came through this situation too? I just don't know what to do.

your comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciate.

in field in which you are capable of doing something..take that major...first make a list of majors that you are interested in ...read catalog about each...and try to know how is the job market...how is the major for u ...kind of courses u have to take..read the description of the courses too..u can find that in major catalog...good luck..swap u sound like u r here in computer science major currently...right...

If you liked to break open your toys when you were young, and if you are semi good in Math & Science, then I would suggest engineering. Engineering will require you take a lot of classes and do a lot of projects.
 
In fact, you will have a very good experience in school working with teams and solving problems. You will also be asked to think on your feet and adapt yourself to find alternative ways for coming to a solution. This will definitely prepare you for a good professional career. And even when the economy is down and Banks are laying off workers, you might still be able to keep your job!
The bottom line is, take an introductory engineering course and see where it goes from there. Good luck!

take some gen eds in areas you think u are interested. After couple of classes, you will have fair idea of what you want to pursue. Thats why there are gen. ed courses..
