Finance Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has said peace is necessary for
economical progress and a good constitution for peace. Bhattarai
expressed such views at a meeting with US Assistant Secretary of State
for South and Central Asian Affairs, Richard Boucher, Thursday morning.

According to sources, Boucher has committed
assistance in hydro-power and other development projects. He also
showed concern on the ongoing peace process and the constitution.

Boucher, who is on a two-day official visit to Nepal, is scheduled to visit president Dr. Ram Baran Yadav later today. nepalnews.com ta Feb 12 09
