i have been living in miami for the past two years and have noticed that the nepalese population is by far the smallest compared to other cities in the US. Well may be i am wrong, thats why i would like to know if there are more nepalese living around this area so that in the future we can have a small nepalese community right here in miami.
thanking you
deep

Hi,
Are you talking About Miami, Florida or Miami, Ohio...

If you are talking about Miami, Florida then there are about 40 or more Nepalese.
There should be around 200 or so Nepalese around Miami (South Florida). That includes mainly Ft. Lauderdale, Homestead, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, and Hollywood.

As a matter of fact there is a soccer team from South Florida who is planning to participate at the upcoming ANA convention in LA.

There are quite a few number of students at FIU (Florida International University), and also University of Miami. I know some of them including Nepalese faculty members.

There is an association as well for Florida.... So target=_blank>http://www.floridanepal.org/
So
I guess you need to look around more and get in touch with them.

You can always contact me to get some contact info.

If you are talking about Miami, Ohio--
Then yes there are fewer Nepalese in this college town, but there are many around this town. Cities like Cincinnatti, Dayton have around 100 or more combined not counting Columbus. There is a Nepali association in Ohio as well (www.naoo.org)

Hope this will help.
By the way I used to live in Miami, FL,and yes its a different city than most of the other American cities.
Currently however, I live in Ohio and thats why I have some knowledge about these two places.
Again let me know if you really would like to get intouch with fellow Nepalese.

Good Luckkkkkk!!!
Nischal.
