42 Km, 5 People, 3 States, 1 Common Cause "Run for New Nepal" - May 1st, 2011 Colorado Marathon
Dear Sajhaites,
Here is an opportunity to do something good for Nepal. Let's show that we just not only talk here in Sajha but also actually convert our talks into a tangible action.
2011 is regarded as the Tourism Year for Nepal and we are 5 people from 3 different states(Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska) running the Colorado marathon on May 1st with one common theme: 'Run for New Nepal' TOURISM YEAR 2011 Here is how the fund is going to be utilized within Himanchal Education Foundation:
Raise $6000 - All proceeds will go to building 1 Repeater Station for the wireless project in Gorakha District.
Raise $150 - One month of student's expense in Kathmandu from Nangi
Raise $40 - One month of Books and Tuition fee for a student.
I am sure we can reach our goal and show the nepalese all over the world that we really can make a difference!

All proceeds for the charity run will go to Mahabir Pun's Himanchal Foundation. http://www.himanchal.org Himanchal Foundation is a non-profit corporation based in the US. The goal of the foundation is to support Himanchal High School in the remote village of Nangi, Nepal, a school that is a prototype for community-based educational development in rural areas. With help from volunteers all across the world, today the school supports grades K through 12, including a computer lab with Internet connnection. The foundation welcomes you to hear the story of their journey and stay connected with it in the future.

This is very good cause. At least you guys are doing something for the country and we're here to help you on this cause. Keep rolling out guys. We all nepali from around the world will be with you.
