Good Question,
I have seen many green card holders or citizens while they were awaiting to bring thier spouses, they had to sponser for two , one for spouse and other for his/her children.
Ask your spouse is she ready to have  baby while you are away ? It is your personal plan and how you want to do, upto you.

Agree with Riddle.
How can you have baby here, without having your wife here? Are you saying if you want to have a baby here you are going to have to wait 1.5 years? Why is this a problem?

If the question is where to have a baby, then it is your personal choice. Having baby in US made sense to me as he can get his citizenship here easily and in case Nepal institutes dual citizenship policy, he can have Nepali citizenship as well because his dad is a Nepali citizen. Child care, nursing etc are much better here without a doubt. But raising a child from Nepali perspective and instilling Nepali culture will be much difficult if your child is born and raised here.

Unless you are in your mid thirties, dont have a baby. You might be getting pressured by your folks who want grandchildren, but wait for it. Enjoy your life and save some money before jumping for a kid. You might bw thinking that you will leave the kid with your parents to raise em. But why? Have a kid when you get here. At least there wont be a hassle of immigration. You can always go back to Nepal and then leave your kid with your parents.
