Hello!
I am on a F-1 student visa and I have applied for TPS. I am planning to go to Nepal this December. Should I must apply for Advance Parole travel document to travel to Nepal or can I use my F-1 visa (valid for 2 more years) to travel and come back? Also, how hard is to get approved for Advance Parole travel document?

Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

If you are still maintaining F1 status. Then go without AP. If you are not planning to attend school make sure you get AP before traveling.

It's not like that @mangale. To keep your TPS valid you have to have AP before you travel out of USA. You can still use your unexpired f1 visa to enter USA but your TPS will get invalid if you don't apply AP and won't be able to get TPS benefits. ThIS is my understanding but not an legal advice.

I agree with Shankar. If you leave US without AP then you can not come back to US on TPS, but you can use other valid status methods to get in. Like Shankar said, you have to use your AP to keep your TPS status valid after you come to US. If you use your F1 to get in to US, you will lose your TPS.

TPS is expected to last for little long term so everyone gets benefit with an overhaul of immigration reform bill in next two years. Thinking +v
