 I have witnessed many Nepalese in public places talking to each other in broken and heavily accented English. I don't know who these people are trying to prove.

i don't know why people are outraged by her speech. she spoke perfect english (with an accent, A NEPALI ACCENT). is she not allowed to speak naturally. plus i applaude her because atleast she tried. i am sure she is going to get some more movies because of this.

I am not laughing at her acccent. I am laughing at her language. She said...sorry to other actressess for losing the contest...LMAO...also there were numerous Grammatical mistakes. Those who are calling her english Perfect probably have same level of english as hers.

Let me make one more point......i do not understand why Nepalese speak on the language they are most confident on. There is this norm that speaking english is always considered upper class in Nepal. You do not need to feel small just becasue you do not know English. There are many educated and knoweldgable and wise people in this world who do not know how to speak English.

"She said...sorry to other actressess for losing the contest" - this statement is her opinion. just becuase you didn't like it doesn't mean it is wrong. and do tell me what are other grammatical mistakes. big celebrities do make small grammatical mistakes even in the oscar awards. nobody need to a grammar nazi here. you are just embarrassed by her accent. that is all.

 dolphin bro, what I am saying is that I could care less about anyone's accent. It just bothers me when people "try" to talk in English just to show off in public places (like restaurants). I grew up here but I still talk to everyone in Nepali. I am not saying talking in English is bad. All I am saying is quit trying to show off in public places by "trying" to talk in English.

I think the focus was on our need to spoeak English, even if we are more proficient and comfortable with Nepali. I don't think SAP was being a grammar nazi, he is just refuting your claim that she spoke "perfect english." I'd go ahead and list the errors, but then you'd accuse me of being the grammar nazi..you see, I am not "perfect" as well.
