We are expecting a baby and planning to invite my parents. What are the documents required for applying visitor visa in Kathmandu? Is it worth mentioning "we are expecting baby" in invitation letter or not? Do you guys have any (recent) success stories on this subject?

Your advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

I dont have detail idea ( wait for some experienced user to reply ) but on a quick note you need letter from hospital/ dr saying that your wife is pregnant. They will give visa 100%.

You should definitely mention the baby delivery date and how you your parents presence will make your and your wife's life easier during that time. As FB said, any written document from her doctor or the hospital mentioning the expected delivery date will bolster your case.
