Apparently, billionaire businessman Michael Bloomberg, the former mayor of Big Apple, is seriously considering getting a piece of action in 2016 US Presidential race.

Could it mean Clinton's road to get into the White House is doomed from the get go (yet again) ?

Bloomberg will not only suck up the money from many rich contributors from New York and elsewhere who would otherwise donate to Clintons, but may steal many of everyday Democrats as well as some of progressive Democrats that Clinton badly needs to win. His possible run is a bad news for Clinton I guess.

New York Times writes, "Michael Bloomberg has instructed advisers to draw up plans for a potential independent campaign in this year’s presidential race. His advisers and associates said he was galled by Donald Trump's dominance of the Republican field, and troubled by Hillary Clinton’s stumbles and the rise of Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont on the Democratic side."

This could mean New York will have three very high profile contenders in 2016 US Presidential race if he gets in. The other two contenders from New York include, of course, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. The last contender from New York State to successfully reach the White House was Franklin D. Roosevelt over 80 years ago when big names like Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill, Hitler etc were still around.

Looks like somebody is scared that Bernie might actually win and dissolve his income source.

Bernie Sanders probably won't be much of a headache for Bloomberg (if he runs) nor is Bloomberg likely to be a headache for Bernie Sanders.

Yes, Bloomberg might have some sway over some of progressive Democrats who deeply care about gun control, abortion rights and so forth but Sanders will most likely keep almost all of progressive votes on his side. This means Bloomberg and Clinton will be fighting over same (middle-of-the-road/moderate) group of voters.

Many of progressive Democrats think it is plausible that Clinton might win the primary and they might have to grudgingly (with their nose shut) vote for Clinton in November. Instead of voting for Clinton they might just go for Bloomberg, after all Bloomberg is not crazy like Trump or Cruz, nor is he scandal-ridden like Clinton.

Bernie blames Wall Street for everything and Bloomberg is a Wall Street-made billionaire. I'm skeptical that Bernie won't be much of a headache for Bloomberg. I think Bernie's increasing momentum and newly gained popularity are already causing Bloomberg a headache. If Bernie actually wins the nomination and Bloomberg runs as an independent, it would cause Bernie a headache too since the antisocialistic democrats who now support Clinton might vote for Bloomberg.

And the split of democrats' votes might lead to a GOP victory in the general election.

This time around Democrats have too few candidates to choose from while GOP has too many of them.

I have no idea why she chose not to get in.
