Hi friends. I have high school degree from Nepal. I could not complete my undergrad in engineering back there (completed more than 3yrs). I am looking for some IT based training and job thereafter. Anyone have any suggestions regarding my situation. What is the best to do in my case? Looking for a descent job.

Since you have had Engineering background, software development may be the right fit for you. Programming is just like mathematics and logical interpretation. You will enjoy it. Go for either java base or .NET base development line. This advice is valid only if you are Permanent Resident or US Citizen.
Don't go for QA. That is not Information Technology, unless you have no other option. And also, Programmers makes more than twice of what QA makes.

Thank you for your suggestion Micky_mouse. Thats what I am thinking as well. I love programming and coding rather than qa. I do have knowledge on java and sas. Self learning .net now as well. Do you think companies will hire someone without a undergrad degree? I am a gc holder.

Self preparation may not be enough. You will be marketable if you have certifications. For certifications, you have to work hard. My advice is to take certifications on .NET and SQL Server. I am recommending this because I am MCP.
