How long does it take to get a green card after finger printing?
and
can one apply for travel doc/work permit after finger printing?

The timing depends on the service center that you have filed your petition. Go to www.shusterman.com and look for processing times.

I think travel doc and work permit can be applied all together with I-485. Finger print comes after that. So you should be aboe to file it now.
