Hey friends,

I am planning to visit KTM soon. was thinking of getting two laptops, one for my parents and the other for my cousin. Does anyone know if it is possible for a single person to bring 2 laptops into KTM for genuine gifting purposes, or would I have to pay custom fees?
I would greatly appreciate help in this matter, especially from ones with prior similar experiences. Thanks a lot.

I think you have to pay for more than 1 laptop.

The custom office in Nepal now-a-days allows an individual to bring upto 2 laptops, so u need not worry fountainhead.

Just walk through the green channel. Don't keep them in boxes 'as new'. I am sure you would be able to walk out, through the security check.

I came to Ktm from US last week and brought one laptop but I didn't have any problem at the custom office. Infact they didn't even care and one of my fiends had brought two laptops and he was kinda worried. But he could make it through the custom without any problem.
