I need some help guys. I am currently stuck at a desi consultancy and I was selected for H1b lottery. But its be 6-7 months I got training in BA/QA and I have no jobs yet. So now I came to know that I need to do a change of status to go to F1(currently I am on OPT and my h1b will start from october'08) again for my masters(I only have a BS degree) in  MIS. I also heard that if I study on f1 then also later I do not have to wait for the lottery and I can apply for H1b again easily. I dont know if it is true, so I need some suggestions. In the meantime if I leave this consultancy then I guess they will cancel my h1, so how will I be affected. Is anybody going thru the same phase as I am. I am fed up with this consultancy crap. I want to get my masters and work for some time and go back to Nepal. Please send me some suggestions.

Its the same thing b'more bro whether you have bachelors degree or a masters degree. You have to get job within 3 months of your graduation. So after you finish your masters also you have to join consultancy again or you could find job within 3 months. So in my opinion you dont give up your hope. Wait for some time and complete your one project with them. Then you can have some experience and then go for your masters degree so during your masters you can work on CPT and then after completion of the degree you can ask for the company you are working to apply for H1B.

It is hard to find job in any field at this time. BA and QA are worst.

Take some training in SQL developer/DBA or .Net

You have more chance to get job on this line.

* communication skill must be great

* team players

* smart

* hard worker

* self motivated

* fast learner
