Comments: Hi San,

It's great to see this new ID number system instituted here. Thanks for striking a good enough balance, for now anyway, between cyber liberties
and openness.

For some time, I have also been a fan of this "forward this kurakani" feature . . . that feature helps us all to 'market' this site all the more to many others interested folks in and out of Nepal.

Finally, though human nature being human nature, personal attacks will NEVER disappear entirely
from this site, this sort of new measures that you have introduced here have SOME role to play to "civilize" anonymous, personal resentment and attacks the way, well, free markets civilize
greed or a marriage civilizes lust.

All said and done, I feel great to be associated
with gbnc.org

what's your personal e-mail address.

As an aside, why don't you let me know the growth of traffic in GBNC. I am really excited.

You are doing a great job in keeping Nepalis all over the world connected. Keep it up.

Hi Akhilesh, It's visitors like yourself who contribute to the site that makes it tick.

Regarding growth in traffic, I have been fortunate enough to be involved in this site to see an increase from 300 sessions per month in Nov 1999, to 20 thousand plus sessions a month in Sept 2001.

Is it some kind of eye opening revelation from some philosopher that we have not heard of? just one question. why is he bringing his filth even to the Comments section? he could not leave this forum alone from his mind numbing reference to himself. if namita asks san to omit personal information about her why is ashu's bottom is itching?

Isn't it just amazing how Ashu can be irritating and clueless? Isn't he following Namita by looking at these postings? Isn't he showing his true face by exposing it again and again? It is ming boggling how he does not see what a fool he is making of himself. What is wrong with this guy, for god's sake?

Comments: Dear Namita,

I just got a chance to read your long comment.
I mean: wow!!

For the record, this is an OPEN, PUBLIC forum.
And in an OPEN, PUBLIC forum, there are, whether
you like it or not, risks.

For better or worse, I accept these risks, and have learnt to live with them with a sense of humor.

For the record, your private family stuff was and is of NO CONCERN to me. As for that "married to a German" bit, that's a piece of information ALREADY in the public domain, shared by you. I calmly suggest that you go through all your postings here and on some
past issues of TND before you get all high and mighty with me. After all, may I remind you that it's the feminists who have taught us that "personal is political"?

Finally, feel free to attack me. In doing so, you expose your own self. Not me. I consider you neither
a friend nor an enemy: just a fellow poster here whose poems I enjoy, and with whom, in discussions, I may agree on one point, and disagree on another, and so on and so forth -- thus hopefully enriching our thoughts in ways more than one.

As for that 'stalking' bit, all I can say is that you have a lively imagination, and that's that.

Let us move on, shall we?

Comments: Oh, just shut up Ashu- please I see you have come here too. You could not compete me with my article and you restored to personal attacks, AND, you have the nerve to come here to comment on my request too. Shame on you! I feel like I am being stalked. Maybe I should have a restraining order on you. I SWEAR if you were here in Boston I would have asked the judge to issue one right now. I am bracing myself for your jasusi on my family and god knows what kind of skeleton !! you will find.

Be honest, be yourself, be open, be brave and acknowledge your mistake. The opposite seems to be true for you. It seems you always have some point to prove Whethere it is: why you are living in Nepal while talking about getting a job here in with some investment firm or writing two books and not finishing in many many years and so on and on. I really think you have this ongoing self-doubt whether you are really that good what you want pepople to think of.

Relax. Again I say you are what you are. No matter what you say. It is the action, and here in this cyberspace by your posting people will judge you or me for that matter

Also where did I say I was married to German? It was not in this forum. Did you take that info from my personal email to you and tried to use that? Again Shame on you. Not that you proved anything with that piece of information divulging to the world. What else do you know about me which I might have told you while eating dinner in my own house and when are you going to share that with the rest of the world?

I am awaiting.

So dear Ashu, let's go on with our lives shall we? And don't follow me around, it is a dangerous habit. You might get in trouble. I urge you to have a self restrain. oh by the way where did i say something was controversial about me?

Namita

Comments: San,

I see that Namita has requested you to DELETE
some of her own PUBLIC postings that were about
her own life.

Though I am a proponent of 'freedom of speech' i.e. no censorship at all , I too am all for this of belated SELF-censorship, though it does make me question the judgment of the poster all the more, especially when she branded her own self as being "controversial".

Surely, being controversial means, at the very least, being able to dish it out as well being able to take
it too.

As you can see, I love to point out inconsistencies of thoughts, and welcome others to do the same for mine so that, collectively, we all become better, and more honest in public.

I guess I underestimated the vengence/stupidity of people who would take my personal info to arugue against my views. The inability to distinguish between a sound view and settle some personal score seems to be the ongoing agenda.

Frankly, the older version was not so bad either. Maybe I don't like this much blue in this particular shade.
:-
But the Boston Sky line is much more beautiful than it is shown here. One cannot really see the beauty here. Is it the color scheme? Just a thought. I also think it was a great idea not to superimpose ? Himalayas in the background of Boston. It was like trying to cram everything in one small space to give a meaning. But at the end just a hotch potch of unrelated things.

Again your hard work is commendable.

Namita, I'm trying to come up with a better banner. Hopefully soon.

I have found out a way to actually get the people into the chat room who are having problems with connecting to the server. There is HTML chat page in Nepalforum.com. Probably if you have the same kind of option in GBNC website then the problem can be solved. I hope if you visit the page then it would be more clear as to what I am trying to explain.
